The church through your eyes

I hope I understand the question properly. On a spirtual stand point I am disappointed. My christian background that I grew up in and what I am recieveing is distance apart. I feel like I am in the valley of dry bones at times..its just dead there. There is no program to encourage new converts. Thank God he surrounded me with people to help me along. I felt lost and alone for a time. The atmosphere there is kinda "hostile" to "new blood" coming in. Older folks resistant to change and their disapproval was sometimes very vocal and hurtful. I could go on but will stop here.

  1. This is true for many youth and I know working with youth in a detention setting I find my style in the "hardened" place I work, that I must come down to their level, understanding their minds, at their age. Of course, this is with the destiny to save them, but also to let them know that it is alright to be who they are. Life is not easy and especially for new converts. Pray for the elders' understanding of your ways, our Father will help in their understanding in combination with who the youth are in style and heart.

  2. Another message from my Spirit...be mindful to put Him before all your work and advise your elders how you are doing it and they will accept your ways. Be blessed in everything you do! Amen
